What got you started?
Discovering the YouTube Channels of Andreja and Dollightful. I think I binge watched all their videos.
What types of customs do you do?
As I've just started I'm still figuring it all out. But I think I will try to do a bit of everything, main focus on fantasy creatures maybe.
Are there any products you just can’t live without?
My schmincke pastels! Talk about soft pastels
What is your most favorite custom that you have made?
I would have to say my Satyr girl, so far she's the most elaborate doll I have made. It was a lot of fun glueing all that hair lol
What is your least favorite custom that you have made?
I just feel I could've done much better. And that hair was a huge fail.
A lot of beginners get so frustrated when their customs don't come out the way they want them to, and often compare themselves to their favorite artists and give up. Can you show us your very first custom?
It's import a to realize that when starting something new you won't create stuff at the level your favorite artists are working on. These people have been doing stuff like this for years. Like the saying goes: Practice makes perfect. It's an oldie but it's speaks the truth.
What is your most recent custom?
Same as the most favorite custom I have made (Satyr). I haven't worked on many customs yet.
What is the worst injury you’ve had from working on customs?
While covering my doll's hair to protect it from MSC, I was pushing a pin into her head to hold the fabric in place. The head of the pin broke and the needle went deep inside my finger. Didn't know my finger could bleed so much from such a tiny puncture wound lol.
Who/What inspires you?
Seeing people's works in progress always inspire me to do more! But the people that got me into the hobby are Nicole (Andreja) and Katherine (Dollightful).
What projects are you currently working on?
My very first YouTube tutorial for my brand new channel. The project is a surprise ;)
Do you have any odd habits while working on customs?
I tend to get really close to the doll when doing a faceup, which sucks because now I can't do that when recording or my mug would appear in all videos
What types of art do you enjoy?
Many different types, but I particularly enjoy seeing character designs on Pinterest. Or drawings in their sketch stage.
Do you take commissions?
Not currently as I am still setting up everything but I definitely plan on taking commissions in the future
